Sometimes, to harmonise the smile without the need for orthodontic treatment and teeth whitening, people opt for aesthetic veneers. Veneers cover the vestibular (front) surface of stained, broken or deformed teeth, giving them the look you want.
We basically use two techniques:
Porcelain veneers
Together with the dentist, you will choose the colour and shape you want for your teeth. In some cases, it is necessary to reduce the front of your tooth, which we will protect with temporary veneers. After taking a digital record of your mouth (or an impression), we send it to the dental laboratory for custom fabrication.
The veneer will be cemented completely fixed to your tooth.
The porcelain finish of these veneers is highly aesthetic, and does not require any specific maintenance other than the usual annual check-up.
Composite veneers
Very similar to porcelain veneers, you choose the colour and shape you want for your teeth.
The difference is the material used, which is a nano-hybrid composite with porcelain particles, which perfectly mimics the colour and shine of the tooth.
These veneers are made at the dental clinic, so once the appointment is scheduled, the veneers are ready in one visit. Maintenance is annual, with a light polishing to maintain the shine.
