After a study with a radiological test (CBCT or dental CT), adequate planning, and always under anaesthesia, the implant is placed in the maxillary bone with surgery. After a period of biological regeneration (between 3 and 6 months, depending on the patient), the implant ‘fuses’ with the bone (osseointegration), thus acting as the root of missing teeth, allowing the anchoring of substitute prostheses, which can be fixed or removable (removable at will) and do not need to be supported or attached to healthy natural teeth in the mouth.
